Prof. Kacper Krzeczewski, shared the Polish experience on agenda-setting and framing with journalism students at the University of Tirana.

Në Departamentin e Gazetarisë dhe Komunikimit, Fakulteti i Historisë dhe i Filologjisë, Universiteti i Tiranës, u zhvillua një leksion i hapur me profesorin polak Kacper Krzeczewski, qe vjen nga universiteti Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce, Poloni, në kuadër të programit Erasmus+ për mobilitetin akademik.
The lecture was organized with third-year Bachelor students in the Journalism and Communication programme, within the course “Media Ethics and Journalistic Deontology”, taught by Associate Professor Ramadan Çipuri.
The main topic of the presentation was “Agenda-setting and framing in the Polish media”, with a particular focus on how television news channels in Poland have covered presidential election campaigns. During the lecture, the key concepts of agenda-setting and framing theory were discussed, as well as the ways in which the media influence not only the issues people think about, but also the ways they interpret events and public affairs.
Professor Krzeczewski also presented the five main framing categories used in television news analysis: conflict, human interest, responsibility, morality, and economic consequences, illustrating them with examples from the Polish media system and presidential elections in Poland.
The lecture was accompanied by interactive discussions with students on the similarities and differences between the Polish and Albanian media systems, as well as on contemporary media challenges in the context of metrics, algorithms, and audience-driven logic shaping the media agenda. This academic visit aims to strengthen inter-university cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of journalism and communication, contributing to the internationalization of teaching and scientific research.
