The faculty of History and Philology is one of the six faculties of the University of Tirana, albania. Today, it consists of six departments, all of which exert their action research in fields such as History, Geography, language and Linguistics, Literature, Media and Communication, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage. The faculty offers study programs at all levels.
Integrated into the State University of Tirana since its establishment in 1957, the Faculty of History and Philology, today it offers 6 programs of study, Bachelor's degrees, 13 programs, graduate studies, Master of Science and Master of Professional, as well as studies on the level of doktoral.
The faculty is at the basis of the activities of its SCIENTIFIC sense CRITICAL thinking in support of the formation of the pedagogical and research activities. The activities of the academic promoted out of the department are to provide a significant contribution to the SOCIAL LIFE of the country.
The staff of our Faculty take an active part in RESEARCH PROJECTS, in collaboration and partnership with your colleagues and the INSTITUTIONS OF the FOREIGN FUNCTION.
The faculty of History and Philology, has as primary objective the preparation of teachers, journalists, scholars of the history of archaeology, cultural heritage, language, and literature of geography, media and communication, and through programs and research.

DATK offers six programmes for all three cycles of the study. Program in basic Bachelor's degrees in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage designed with a two-way Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, one of which the primary and the other secondary.
In the second cycle of the study are provided in the program Master Of Professional to Tourist Guides, Master of Science in Archaeology and Master of Science in Cultural Heritage.
The third cycle is represented by the School Doctoral in Archaeology and it's on Cultural Heritage.
