OPEN CALL FOR STUDENTS Become a Green Change Agent!


Students can apply or contact Prof. Esmiralda Kolaneci to participate in the international project GEAR-UP TIRANA: Student Power for a Green & Sustainable AlbaniaFunded under the call of the Adriatic-Ionian Euroregion, this project aims to transform students into active leaders of environmental sustainability and global citizenship.

About the Project.

GEAR-UP.AL is a 6-month project that will offer selected students a transformative experience, combining intensive training, a summer school with field workshops, professional mentoring, and real opportunities for public and policy advocacy.

What Does This Project Offer You?

Intensive Workshop: "From Data to Action" – A dynamic workshop on environmental journalism and digital storytelling, where students will learn to analyze complex environmental data and transform it into compelling messages for the public and policymakers.

5-Day Summer School "Green Futures Lab" – Intensive theoretical and practical training with national and international experts, followed by 3 outdoor workshops to directly study real ecosystems and environmental challenges.

Green Micro-Projects – Each student team will develop its own environmental micro-project under the guidance of specialized mentors. At least 5 concrete projects addressing local environmental challenges will be created.

Public Engagement at the European Week Fair – Students will become public ambassadors, distributing their informative materials and directly engaging Tirana's citizens in dialogue on the ecological transition.

Final Forum: "Shaping Albania's Green Future" – A high-profile public forum where students will present their policy recommendations.

Who can apply?

The call is open to students of all levels (Bachelor and Master) who have an interest in environmental protection, sustainable development, and the EU Green Deal.
