On 17 July 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00<\/strong>, in the premises of the Faculty of History and Philology, the Joint Final Forum of the two projects<\/strong> was held, marking the successful conclusion of two important youth projects in the field of environment. The open forum gathered over 80 participants, among them students, representatives of educational institutions, environmental experts, and the general public.<\/p>\n This special Forum was attended by the President of the Adriatic-Ionian Euroregion, Mr. Aldrin Dalipi, as well as the experts involved in both projects, who appreciated the students’ work and their concrete contribution to the public debate on the environment.<\/p>\n The first project<\/strong>, GEAR-UP Tirana: Student Power for a Green & Sustainable Albania<\/em> (GEAR-UP.AL<\/strong>), under the leadership of Prof. Assoc. Dr. Esmiralda Kolaneci, concluded with the Final Forum \u201cShaping Albania\u2019s Green Future\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. Within its framework, student groups presented their final environmental policy briefs, developed during their micro-projects and advocacy activities, addressing concrete recommendations to the panel of policymakers, experts, and the public, in a direct dialogue that links the voice of youth with real decision-making for a greener Albania.<\/p>\n The second project<\/strong>, Green Wave Tirana: Youth Leading Earth Hour & Climate Action<\/em> (EARTHYOUTH<\/strong>), under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Romeo Hanxhari, concluded with the Final Forum \u201cYouth for Tirana\u2019s Green Future\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. Youth groups, formed from the workshop participants, presented concrete and feasible proposals for climate action in Tirana, outlining the challenges, proposed solutions, expected impact, and possible implementation strategies. The constructive dialogue created with local policymakers and experts paved the way for new partnerships and the potential implementation of these proposals.<\/p>\n Both Forums served as a culminating platform that links the analytical work and advocacy of students with real policy impact, strengthening the dialogue between youth and decision-makers, ensuring that the voice of young people contributes directly to policy discourse and to a more participatory model of governance for environmental issues.<\/p>\n This project was co-funded by the European Union.
